Breakfast with Pierre-Ange Le Pogam, Chief Operating Officer, EuropaCorp
On June 19th, 2007, a breakfast was hosted at the Press Club de France : Pierre-Ange Le Pogam, associate producer at EuropeCorp, was interviewed by Pierre de Gasquet, journalist at Les Echos and Serge Hayat, in charge of the Chair’s development on the theme” What role a European cinema major has to play alongside American ones?”. Alain le Pogam then took questions.
Breakfast with Patrick Le Lay, Chairman and CEO of TF1 television channel
On March 15th, 2007, a breakfast was organised, at the initiative of the ESSEC Media and Entertainment Chair, with the participation of Patrick Le Lay, Chairman and CEO of TF1. It was hosted at the Intercontinental Paris le Grand Hotel. Patrick Le Lay spoke on the issue of: “Diversification, the key-factor for television channels survival”. He also shared his vision for the development of free TV.
Around 70 professionals from the media sector, the Société Générale Bank and the journalism school Centre de formation et de perfectionnement des Journalistes (CFPJ) were able to ask him questions.
The CFPJ supported the event.
Paris Cinema Fair, second edition
The second annual Paris Cinema fair (« Salon du Cinema ») took place from January 18th to January 20th, 2008, at the Paris Porte de Versailles Exhibition Hall. The Media and Entertainment Chair students participated in the event’s organisation, both on the professional and public sides. Serge Hayat also was involved on the professional side. |
